i just came back.
today was so fun.
at first, it seemed like another sian holiday cooped at home using the computer the whole day.
but suddenly, received a message to go buy teachers` day present.
treated that as a mere joke and sorta ignored it.
then, i realised it was a sincere and true one, so started arranging time and venue.
and we went all the way to bras basah, hoping to get some personalised stuffs.
so took the seemingly long train journey to bugis and alighted.
from there, walked all the way to bras basah.
4 people sharing a small pink umbrella. looks kinda stupid. LOL!
but something dampened our spirits, when we found out that artfriend is closed on public holidays.
so, we went to a music kinda shop.
it was quite cool. just a bit noisy and disorganised?
LOL! how i wish i own a guitar.
later we went to POP@central.
explored every single floor except the cafe.
the first floor of it, which was on the 2nd floor of bras basah complex is quite small unit only. all books and sian things. but we just looked through everything. and there`s this very interesting book. if i`m not wrong, it`s called "How to teach pronounciation" and the author is Gerald Kelly. COOL right? plus the fact that the book`s totally orange. just so match. and took pictures of it. i didn`t though. cos i can`t send to computer anyway. yeah, we also went to browse thru a real thick and heavy and bulky chemistry book. we just love chemistry. HAHA!
the next floor was the cafe. and the stairs leading to the cafe will enable you a view of the graffiti by a NAFA student.
proceed to the next floor. we skipped cafe anyway. like why would we wanna go there? so it`s the full of books, CDs, gifts etc floor. first, we went to look at the books. i can`t really remember if it`s the teachers` resources. HAHA! i think it should be. then slowly to next shelf and the next and so on. and i saw this economics A level five year series. i think G`s getting that for us. he said $3 right? but anyway, it`s sold at $3.15. there`s some way he can recoup the loss anyway. he ain`t dumb. and yeah, i`m so damn unhappy. feel like bashing him but i lack the courage. i flipped thru the book, and found that some of the questions are taken from there. WHAT THE HECK! no wonder he says it won`t be so fast that time. GRR! very qian bian right? well, at least i think 3/2 students would think so. and we also saw a primary 4 book on art which is published by ruth ng. OMG! she`s teaching secondary art and she only gets to publish a book for primary education. how great. HAHA! and we saw this damn cute tigger book. we just practically looked thru the whole shop, i guess, at least 80% of it. then we went to the gifts section. so damn cool. at first, i saw this ting glow-in-the-dark keychain. but later, i saw this real super damn cool thing. i`m not gonna say what`s it, for fear people gets it for her on teacher`s day. HAHA! keeping it a secret. but trust me, it seriously ROCKS! i mean that thing..
hmm.. the next was the quite interesting floor. first, i thought it was all electronics and office stuffs and stationery. but it wasn`t. we looked thru all the shelves of stationeries. and i realised there`s a cool thing called 'glue tape'. and i also saw this very nice ruler. but i decided i shouldn`t waste my money cos i think it can`t be brought into examination grounds. BLAH! the post-its there were so damn nice too. if i had seen them earlier, i would have bought those even though there`re more expensive. and should take a look at the art & craft stuffs. EVERYTHING! it`s all so cute and fine and yeah, just totally rocks. i haven`t seen such things before. then there were also those small little cute pens. like mini versions. LOL! then there`s personalised stamps. custom-made. and made me think of G and his very famous stamp which goes on every of our submitted work.
yes POP@central rocks. everything`s so cool, so great. uber fun i had today after examinations. HAHA! and i`m planning to go there again during holidays. can`t wait to get my hands on those things. i know i`ll probably spend a ton on those very damn appealing things. AHH! i must control. btw, i just bought this book called Freakonomics. it sorta appeals to me and i just grabbed it. LOL! the turn-off is that the text is quite small. GRR! but other than that, i shall start getting to that book soon.
and we also went to the bugis junction there. then it was like the stalls we went, then we see gerald here, gerald there, gerald everywhere. yeah, there`s also michael. sad no ajam. HAHA! there`s this funny thingy.. it`s like the pigs family, but with names. then the father`s alex. the mother`s betty. the son`s michael. the daughter`s linda. HAHA! michael. yeah, we had quite a good laugh.
then we also kept thinking of liao. her present. look-alikes etc. i know we`re lame.
but i feel that the lesser you want something to happen, it`ll just suddenly happen. don`t think too much of meeting someone, and that someone will just appear out of nowhere. like during the examinations, i keep wishing liao or G could come and invigilate us. then i was so damn busy last-minute memorising some social studies stuff. and the class went quiet, then i realised it was G. and also, that time rushing my chinese comprehension, and i heard voices, then it turned out to be liao too. yeah. also, remember that time i told peifang i don`t wanna go school early just to "coincidentally" bump into liao again. so we went late and somehow a maths question popped up for us to ask the teachers. then was waiting for peifang and liao suddenly came and asked me what`s the paper today. also saw G bouncing into and out the staffroom. yeah, so next time, i shouldn`t think too much. HAHA!
everything that happened today has just brightened up my day. i guess i won`t wake up tomorrow asking myself and thinking 'what`s the examination today?' again. and i`ve decided i won`t buy any more albums. until derrick releases his. hopefully after EOYs. but then, another thing`s added to my wishlist. ooh.. i`m materialistic bah. and i hope to go shopping and buy that during the holidays.
yeah, so that`s it for today.
what a seriously damn fun and cool and relaxing day out.
